AUDIOLOGIST
The position is located at the Wenatchee Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) and is a part of the Audiology Section of the Medicine Service of the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center.
The duties and responsibilities are carried out throughout the clinical and patient care areas involved with the service.
This is a staff audiologist position.
The duties include:
obtain a thorough audiological history from patient including information on medical conditions that may affect hearingconducts a full range of audiological evaluations to determine the type and degree of hearing lossdetermines need for medical referraldetermines patients' need for amplification and tinnitus managementdetermines the need for a wide variety of assistive listening devicespredicts and measures the effectiveness of amplification using advanced analysis of acoustic signal processing algorithmsperforms cerumen managementprovide initial assessment for cochlear implant referraldetermine need for and type of rehabilitation and counseling of the hearing impaired Veterans and their familyWork Schedule:
