On-call positions, in accordance with the Washington State Paid Sick Leave Law, you will accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours actually worked.
JOB POSTING JOB PURPOSE:
Under close supervision, performs traffic control duties for District crews to maintain and direct vehicular traffic through District construction sites using sign, hand, and flag signals.
Informs drivers of detour routes through construction work sites.
JOB FUNCTIONS:

EF Ongoing Drive a motorized vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the District.

Qualifications:

Post-Secondary Education:
No post-secondary education required.
Experience:
Previous construction flagging experience preferred.
Specific KSA's:
A fully skilled incumbent will have the following specific knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge:
Washington State Flagging certification required at hire.
Must possess or obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within ninety (90) days of employment.
Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to provide personal transportation with ability to carry signs and ability to report directly to various worksite locations in Chelan County in all types of weather related conditions.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Complexity:
Requires the ability to understand and follow general directions and instructions as given.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Decision Making:
Follows general instruction and safe work practices.
