The Area Sales Manager is a selling management role responsible for achieving the revenue objectives for all defined Semios products in this market through managing their own territory while leading and mentoring account managers, customer and technical support as well as other team members as determined necessary by the Director, Sales and Marketing.
What you will do:
Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing to reach revenue objectives for the state.
Achieve personal sales goals Optimize the performance of any other Account Managers through leading, supporting and mentoring them on:
Efficiently and effectively managing their territories to exceed revenue targets Ensuring adherence to process, paperwork and the communications necessary for the delivery of our services by Sales and other internal teams to provide an ideal customer experience Achieve cross-selling targets of Semios acquisitions Engaging customers and prospects on adopting the Semios system Building domain expertise on the product and industry to become an invaluable resource to the Semios customer.
Help identify, and develop strategic sales strategies to address the primary pain points of target growers for which Semios offers solutions including:
Pest management Irrigation and soil moisture management Any other appropriate issues for which Semios can or could provide a solution Ensure any Account Managers develop, maintain and update prospect lists for all Apple, Pear, Cherry, Grape and other appropriate crop growers in their assigned territories Leverage territory and revenue management tools including Hubspot and others to provide guidance, oversight to the sales team and funnel and sales progress reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing and other departments as needed.
Provide mentorship and performance measures to the Customer Support Specialists to ensure:
Consistent engagement and adoption of Semios tools by our customers Regular outreach to all Semios users Increased use and return on investment to growers by the Semios solution.
Professional development Attend designated industry trade shows, staff booth, demonstrate solutions and prospect for new customers Professionally represent Semios to all stakeholders and promote as a contributing partner and industry innovator.
Achieve annual sales quota Requirements We want you to succeed, so you will need:
3-5 years management experience in a sales environment Engaging interpersonal style and strong verbal communication skills Outstanding organizational and problem solving skills A valid driver's license with no major driving infractions in the last 5 years and the ability to travel throughout the state.
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently Familiarity with workflow prioritization and scheduling Outside/territory sales experience, prospecting, new business development, experience calling on farming operations Experience in the commercial tree nut or tree fruit industry in Washington.
Competitive nature and desire to excel A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Agronomy or related field ( Horticulture, Entomology, or other) Nice to have:
